This hugely popular Radio Auction will be broadcast live on Oldies 1510 AM on Friday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
For those who enjoy the Internet, you can also bid online for three weeks prior to the live Radio Auction. The online portion of the 8th Annual WRNJ Radio Auction, hosted by Global Online Electronic Services (GOES), will be accessible by visiting www.hrmcnj.org, www.oldies1510.com and www.goes.com from February 14th through March 7th.
Last year 211 outstanding packages were sold, netting $24,590 for the Joan Knechel Cancer Center at HRMC. Proceeds from this years event are once again designated for the Joan Knechel Cancer Center, which opened in September of 2005.
The Radio Auction offers a wide array of terrific items for bid, said Lisa Dimiceli, Special Events Coordinator for HRMC. With the outstanding items we have available and strong base of faithful bidders from our generous community, we feel we have a great chance to exceed last years total amount raised.
The Radio Auction offers items for everyone in the family. Among the Auction items donated so far are New York Yankee tickets, dinner for two packages, pro football memorabilia, overnight hotel packages, spa gift certificates, fitness memberships, movie tickets, gift certificates for auto repair and maintenance, rounds of golf and savings bonds.
In addition to the pre-bidding portion of the Auction, a full auction list will be published on the hospitals website, www.hrmcnj.org, one week prior to the live Radio Auction. In addition, a listing of all packages will be published in the Warren Reporter shortly before the live auction.
This is a great way to get some great buys while supporting a worthy cause at the same time, said Dimiceli, adding that the WRNJ Radio Auction is fun to listen to and truly is a winning prospect for everyone involved. The donating businesses and organizations get plenty of positive exposure on the radio and on the web; consumers get a chance to purchase great items and packages they might not normally have access to at these prices; and the Joan Knechel Cancer Center at HRMC receives the proceeds.
The HRMC Foundation thanks the nearly 100 businesses that have contributed items to the 8th Annual WRNJ Radio Auction thus far. Donations of products or services can still be made to the Auction by calling the HRMC Foundation office at (908) 850-6876.
